Greek Pottery Duck Askos

 

 

The black figure pottery askos in the form of a duck. With black glazed bill, handle, flared mouth, and a band about the base. The eyes and details of the wings are also picked out in black figure. Minor repair, no restoration.

 

ca. 450-400BC

 

Height: 11.2 cm.     (4 7/16 in.)
